ALUMINIZED HOODS PROTECT THE HEAD, FACE, AND NECK

The X20 and X30 Aluminized Hoods are available individually or as part of the X20 Lightweight Proximity Suit or X30 Industrial Proximity Suit.

The X20 and X30 Aluminized Hoods both feature a Z-Flex A-601 Aluminized Fiberglass Fabric outer shell designed to reflect up to 95% of radiant heat and protect from flame, sparks, and molten metal splash. The X20 Aluminized Hood is available with your choice of a fire retardant cotton liner for breathability or a neoprene vapor barrier liner for added protection from vapor, steam, and hot liquids. The X30 Aluminized Hood has a Quilted Nomex® thermal liner which offers some additional comfort, insulation, and protection from conductive and convective heat.

The X20 and X30 aluminized hoods both offer the following features:

• A dome style hood with elasticized adjustable underarm straps
• A full shoulder length drape with a rounded bib for improved range of motion
• A polycarbonate lens with a gold film. The gold film protects the eyes from bright flames and molten metal splash.
• A built-in hard cap with a ratchet adjustment. The hard cap meets the ANSI-Z89.1-2009 impact resistance tests)
